TROY, Mich. - June 26, 2006 - Boyan Josic and Marty Tibbitts, founders of Incubation Group, LLC, today announced the launch of a new private equity fund, Privatas Equity Holdings, LLC, based in Troy, Michigan.
Privatas is in the process of raising between $100 million to $150 million in funds, with the goal of making 2-3 acquisitions per year. Privatas Equity plans to invest mainly in technology and Internet-based firms, but to date has also made several investments in traditional businesses.
“We're specifically looking for companies with the potential to expand if more capital was made available, who would welcome management consulting and the access to additional resources we can offer them. Our goal is to help the firms we invest to improve upon their current business model, in order to build their revenue base, and increase their long-term profitability,” says Josic, Managing Member of the firm.
Josic, an executive with a background in the senior management of technology and incubation growth firms, oversees the day-to-day management at Privatas.
